Pangbourne College’s answer to Eleanor Whitaker has been hard at work through the summer show jumping. She represents Garth Hunt Pony Club and whilst finding time to attend various classes for herself she has been busy representing them too. Her results (below) on several different horses show what dedication to your sport can do. Well done, Alicia!

• On her horse First Edition (Reg) she came 4th in the 1.15 at Pony Club Oxfordshire area show, Henley with her team coming 1st at Hickstead pony club qualifier for Garth hunt.
• 4th in the 1.20 at Pyecombe horse show on Reg.
• Once again 1st team in the area qualifier for Garth Hunt, and 8th as an individual at the Pony Club area qualifier for area 13 at Cranleigh showground, on First Edition.
• At the final of the Pony Club open at Hickstead (home of the All England Jumping course) Alicia’s Garth Hunt team came 4^th.
• Having qualified at the area champs in Cranleigh the Garth Hunt team had to compete in the Pony Club Open championships at Draycott Manor. They performed outstandingly well and came home 3^rd, but also won the team horsemanship award for Garth Hunt pony club. As their prize we got a £500 training award with a B.S.J.A accredited coach for the team.

We must not forget Alicia’s other horses. The ever popular Socks (Millhouse Star) has been out and about and we are hoping he will be up for our Eventers Challenge in October.

• Whilst her new horse Ginger Red came 5th in the 1.15 at Bicton. Red is a grade B chestnut gelding, 10 yrs old.

• She also has a new youngster whom she is preparing for the future who came 1st in 5yr olds. Zandigo III is a bay gelding.
• This year she also jumped 1.30s at Hickstead at the All England meeting but had 4 faults every day on First Edition.
