Under-16 A’s won 10-6, Under-16B’s lost 0-30

Tom Forsdike has been timed at 79.8 mph in the final of NatWest Speed Stars, which is a national competition for fast bowlers in the country, taking place at Lord’s cricket ground.  More details on their website.

Rowing

Wallingford Sculls

The Senior members of the Boat Club had their first race of the season last Saturday, at Wallingford Long Distance Sculls. Encouraging performances were seen in Junior Single Sculls, with Ken Payne and Iain Comery finishing in 22nd and 32nd places respectively. Helen Jefferis raced in the Junior Women’s Single Scull, finishing 20th.

 Pride of place went to the J18 Quad of Rendle, Herbert, Bock & Wilkes, who won J18 Quads and were overall fastest boat in the whole event by 11 seconds.
